SECTION I                                          

PURPOSE

 

1.To promote sportsmanship, friendship, and safety for better hunting conditions and conservation of wildlife

 

  SECTION II

  OFFICERS AND DIRECTORS

 

1. The executive board shall consist of the President, Vice President, secretary, Treasurer, out going  President and (2 or 3) Directors, elected annually, depending on the status of the President.

 2. The term of office shall be (1) year.

 3. All officers can be elected to successive terms.

 4. Anyone seeking an office in the club must have been a member in good standing for at least two years and have attended two monthly meetings in the past year or be active on one of the standing committees.

 5. Any member may only run for (1) office in a given year.

 6. Directors, consisting of (2) or (3) depending on the status of the President, shall be elected on a yearly basis to a term of (1) year, and can be elected to successive terms.  The Directors shall be the (2) or (3) receiving the most votes in the December election.

 7. Nominations will be yearly in October and November.  Elections will be held in December.

 8. Officers and Directors will be those receiving the highest number of votes.

 9. Officers and Directors shall be dues free for the term of office.

 10. Any Officer or Director may be impeached for misconduct, or by not fulfilling his duties by a majority vote of members present at a regular monthly meeting.

 11 The newly elected Executive Board will assume duties January 1.

 12 In the event a vacancy should arise in any office, the vacancy shall be filled  by appointment by the remaining Officers and Directors, for the remainder of the term. 

13 Sergeant of Arms is to be appointed and announced before each meeting by the president.

 14 An Audit Committee is to be appointed at the December meeting each year, by the President consisting of a chairman and (2) other members.  The audit Committee report is to be given at the January meeting.

 15 Duties of the Executive Board shall be governed under Roberts Rules of Order.

SECTION III

MEMBERSHIP

 1 Membership shall consist of 300 paid members, in addition to the Executive Board, life members,  Landowners, and members Son’s and Daughters.

 2 Membership fee will be $25.00 initiation and yearly dues of $15.00

 3  Any applicant to be accepted to membership in this club must be at least 16 years of age and  must be approved by a majority vote of members present at (2) successive meetings.

 4 All members in good standing shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges extended by this club For the year, the exception being that members under the age of (21) are not permitted to have a Key to the club.

 5 An active members child upon reaching the age of (16) and before the age of(18) would be eligible For a membership in excess of the paid membership quota.  The term child is a Son or Daughter by  Blood, by legal adoption, or a Step-Son or Step –Daughter, if the parents are married to each other.

 6 Any member having been a continuous member for (10) or more years prior to the age of (65)   or older shall be given a life membership.

 7 Any member having been a continuous member for (5) or more years prior to the age of (65) or older shall be given a life membership.

   

SECTION IV

LAND OWNERS

 

1 Any landowner with a single tract of (25) or more huntable acres open to hunting by all club   Members in good standing, shall be permitted to apply for membership to the club.  The application is   subject to the approval of a majority vote of members present at (2) successive meetings, and the   landowner shall have all the rights and privileges of a regular member as long as the land remains open to club use. The landowner has the right to deny permission on an individual basis. The member   denied access has the right to appeal to the Board of Directors.

 2 A landowner, after (5) years of opening his land for member hunting, would be eligible for a regular paid membership in excess of the paid membership quota.

 3 A regular paid member who becomes a landowner retains the right, at any time to return to regular Paid member status should he/she choose to do so.

 

 

SECTION V

GUESTS

 

1      A member is responsible for the conduct of his/her guests.

 

SECTION VI

ACCIDENTS

 

1  An accident on the grounds of the club shall be reported to an Officer of the club within (48) hours of the date of the accident.

 2  If a member fails to report said accident, he/s is subject to disciplinary action.

 

SECTION VII

VIOLATIONS

 

1  Any member violating by-laws or club rules is subject to disciplinary action.

 2  Any damage done to club premises or landowners property by a member or guest, said member is responsible to reimburse the club or landowner in full for said damages.  Any member failing to do so  is subject to disciplinary action

 3.  All signs or posters by the club or landowner must be obeyed.

4.  Members under the age of (21) are not permitted to consume alcoholic beverages in any form on club property as per Pennsylvania State Law.

 5.  Use of drugs or any controlled substance is prohibited on club premises

 

SECTION VIII

DISCIPLINARY ACTION

 

1.     Any violation subject to disciplinary action shall be ruled upon by the Executive Board and their decision and any punishment shall be forwarded to the member)s) involved.

   2.  Any member subject to disciplinary action, may appeal the Executive Board’s decision to the membership at the next regular meeting.

    3.  Any reversal of the Executive Board’s decision must be made by a majority vote of members present at the next regular meeting.

   

SECTION IX

DUES

 

1.     Reminder notices for dues will be included in the Fall Newsletter.  No other notice will be sent.  Dues are payable from October 1 to December 31 at $15.00 .From January 1 to January 31, dues will be $25.00.  Any member not paying their dues by January 31 will forfeit their membership.

 

2.     A member may prepay his dues from his age to age 65.  To obtain a paid up status and Gold  Card, the member must be (26) years of age and an active member for at least (5) years before paid membership is offered.  The method used for calculation of prepaid membership shall be the difference  between the members age and age (65), this number times the annual dues, less ($1.00) per year will be the cost of a prepaid membership.  ALL DUES PAID YEARLY FOR A LIFE MEMBERSHIP ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

 

                          

SECTION X

BY-LAWS

 

       1.  A members proposal to amend by-laws will be reviewed By the b-y laws committee before being voted on, under the provision of Section X, paragraph (2)

 

       2.  Amendments to the by-laws may be made by a (2/3) majority of the members present at a regular monthly meeting, but not before (28) after having been proposed at a prior meeting.  

 

SECTION XI

PROJECTS

 

1.     Any project proposed from the membership that would have a combined cost of labor, material

and equipment of $500.00 or more must be reviewed by the appropriate committee before being presented to the club membership for a vote.
